- Developers decided to take out an eagles's nest in a new subdivision in North Auburn. Residents protested, but in the dark of night the nest was removed.
- Alabama has outlawed diversity, inclusion and equity (fairness) at public institutions and Auburn University dismantled its office promoting those principles.
- Coca-Cola announced construction of an $18 million facility in South Auburn.
- Auburn became the last school in the SEC to permit beer sales to fans in the stadium.
- To complement college football's largest video board in the south endzone of Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn's Board of Trustees approved what will be the fifth largest to be constructed in the north endzone.
- The Auburn University Marching Band received the news that their hard work on the Metallica light show in the fall of 2023 had paid off. The band was named the top contestant in the large school category.
- Auburn's Jungle in Neville Arena was rocking all year as Bruce Pearl's Tiger have played arguably the nation's best basketball.
- Among the passings we noted in 2024 were Auburn legends, Terry Beasley, Terry Henley, and Leah Rawls Atkins; and Auburn chaplain, Chette Williams.
- The War Eagle Supper Club is back! Well, actually a tribute to the defunct Auburn institution has opened atop the newly opened Graduate Hotel on Magnolia Avenue.
- An Auburn resident, Bryson "Cheese Curd" McGlynn was the big winner on Master Chef Junior.
